Content Marketing is the real solution for businesses suffering in today’s Internet marketing arena!

If you’re Website took a hit in search engine rankings this year, it was likely because you had something artificial looking about your in-bound links (IBL’s). If this is the case with you, as it is with so many other site owners, the fix is likely quite complicated, that is, if you are intending on “undoing” the problem. You will have to start with a complete link audit and then proceed to a time consuming and arduous link reclamation effort; all the while, even that strategy is a bit hit and miss. You could even mistake a good link as suspicious and undo one of your best traffic links. A much better solution would be to finally start the effort you should have done instead of over focusing on link building over the past few years.
I’ve never been much on link “building.” I’ve always coached my clients on link “earning” instead and it has worked out well for each of them who took this advice. Link earning and content marketing go hand in hand. This is because you earn helpful links by marketing great content. Content marketing simultaneously addresses several other important matters also, such as market/thought leadership, notability, brand awareness, growth of Internet equity, freshness, authority and reputation building, training, consumer engagement, lead generation and sales messaging, to name a few. And there are not many items on your to do list that have as much reward for the time invested. The good links you will earn from developing great new content will soon balance out an artificial IBL structure by adding in a bunch of natural links which will be rewarded soon enough with recovered and improved search engine rankings!
There are many types of content that can be marketed online effectively also, such as, video, audio/podcasts, books, ebooks, how to’s and cheat sheets, top 10 lists, press releases, info-graphics, FAQ’s, blog and guest posts, additional helpful Web pages, reviews, announcements and events, newsletters and webinars. If you can’t find some of these that you can provide good content about then maybe you should reconsider the business you are in and whether you can succeed without traffic and visibility on the Web!
Once good core content is created you can re-purpose it and distribute it into many helpful mediums, such as on your Website or Blog, on Youtube, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, within micro-communities and at many other places that are popular online today.
The adage “content is king” has always been true and it is apparent more so today than ever before. Hopefully this post will give you some ideas. If you need help with this you want to contact a content engineer. For me, content engineering has always been an important part of being a solid Web Strategist and SEO. I can help you figure out a good plan of attack and to create the content and to promote it with announcements and syndication. This is not cheap work but it is the most important work today.
If you are ready to hire a Web strategist who is also a competent content engineer give me a call or drop me an email or message me on Facebook.
Good luck friends and highest regards!
